I'm an Electrical Engineering & Computer Science student at UC Berkeley interested in all things programming. I have a professional background in precision manufacturing and am focusing my Berkeley coursework on bridging the gap between hardware and software. With the advent of large AI models, optimizing for memory, cache size, and throughput is more important than ever. It is essential we as programmers start caring about what happens at the hardware level.
